Asia:
Philippines & India. The Philippines, a popular recruitment destination,
is the source of 80% of our nurse pool. Although the Philippines has a
considerable number of nurses, recruitment is regulated by a government
agency called the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
There is a stiff penalty for recruiting without POEA accreditation
Africa. 15% of our nurses come West Africa.
Others. Caribbean countries
We maintain a pool of at least 100 nurses at all times. Every year, we conduct four recruitment conventions in the Philippines to recruit health care professionals. Clients of WHR are invited to join these conventions thereby facilitating the selection of candidates. During the conventions, we travel to various cities where job applicants are scheduled to convene. At the conventions, employers are given the time to present their companies and needs. During the convention, the employer has the opportunity to interview candidates. The convention usually lasts two days in each location. On the last day participating companies make their final selection and may make initial employment offers to the selected candidates.
